Alumni of Michigan Alpha,
You are invited to attend the inaugural Sigma Phi Epsilon Michigan Alpha Alumni Dinner. The dinner will take place on Friday, October 8th at Pizza House Bar & Grill (located at 618 Church Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48104-3002). For reference, this is the Friday of the Michigan/Michigan State football game. Please join us to meet some of the current undergraduates, the Alumni board and reconnect with other Michigan Alpha alumni.
The undergraduates enjoyed a great year in 2009-2010, giving us much to celebrate. Highlights include:
- Receiving the Buchanan Cup in 2009, given by SigEp headquartes to recognize outstanding chapters nationwide. This is the first Buchanan Cup for Michigan Alpha ever.
- Winning the Fraternity of Year at the University of Michigan; this is the 4th time SigEp has won this award in the last eight years.
- Recruiting forty-five new members in the last academic year, bringing the chapter to 109 total members.
- Securing a new on-campus housing at 704 Hill St. (corner of State and Hill) for 2009-2010 and beyond.
- Hosting a Balanced Man dinner with fourteen finalist and over 100 attendees. Keynote speaker in 2009 was Men’s Basketball Coach John Beilein; former head football coach Lloyd Carr has committed to be the speaker for 2010.
- Winning the yearlong fraternity intramural sports championship and Greek Week for 2009-2010.
Dinner will take place on October 8th from 7:30-9:30 PM. A buffet dinner including salad, pizza, breadsticks, and soft drinks will be provided at a cost of $20 per person. We have the private room overlooking Church and a cash bar will be available. For those interested in continuing the evening in Ann Arbor after dinner, Pizza House is located in the heart of the bar and restaurant district on central campus.
If you are a golfer, we are also organizing a golf outing at the University of Michigan Course (The “M” Course) on Friday afternoon. We have secured a block of tee times beginning at 2:00 PM, and will proceed to dinner after golf. We have a negotiated rate for greens fees of $33, cart included (this is less than the student rate).

Golf: 2:00-7:00 PM, M Course, Cost- $33
Dinner: 7:30-9:30 PM, Pizza House, Cost- $20
